小時候，讀的是上午校，每日在六點半新聞時段吃過晚飯，母親便要我和弟弟去睡覺。人家都看過《歡樂金宵》，我卻幾乎連一集也沒看過，對於蝦仔 daddy，當然也感陌生。
可是她的笑聲，香港人，不會不熟悉的。
即使有人說她的笑聲很「假」，是那又如何？幾十年 keep 一個形象，談何輕易？如今人去了，大家仍然最記得她的笑聲，已值得鼓掌了吧？
所以她能夠成為香港人心目中的重要 icon，這一點，不容否認。
